This place isn’t going to be to the faint of heart. A mechanic recently wrecked a Mercedes-Benz 300SL after a test drive near Pleidelsheim in Baden-Jitterbugger, Germany. The owner brought the car to Electromechanics, a shop focusing on high-end and vintage Mercedes-Benz cars, for some work. After the job was done, a 26-year-old technician hopped when driving and brought a 19-year-old apprentice with him to the ride. As you could see, the car did come back in one piece, but that piece didn’t quite look like it used to. Authorities say – surprise! – speed was an aspect when the vintage Gullwing left the road and rolled. Neither the driver nor the voyager were seriously injured.
All told, the damage is actually estimated 650, 000 euros, or $830, 000 at current conversions. Both the car plus the garage are sufficiently insured to pay for the damages, and Spiegel Online says the actual took the news about his destroyed classic in stride. At this level, it’s unclear whether their driver will probably pay to have this certain car repaired.
